24-hour Call Center - Information and support available around the clock at 1-800-ACS-2345. State Call Center - Cancer data, information on local events and details about local resources available to cancer patients and their families are available for callers to the Ohio Call Center at 1-888-227-6446. Website - Detailed cancer information and details about local educational and support activities available at www.cancer.org . Cancer Survivors Network (CSN) - Telephone and internet support service that was created by and for cancer survivors and their families to address their need to connect with others who have been touched by cancer. Topics on the CSN cover a wide range of topics such as fears of recurrence, caregiver information, communications issues and more. Call toll free at 1-877-333-HOPE or on the web site at www.cancer.org . Hope Lodge - A homelike setting where adult cancer patients and their caregivers can stay, free of charge, while receiving hospital treatments away from home. The Joseph S. and Jeanette M. Silber Hope Lodge in Cleveland and the Hope Lodge in Cincinnati are currently operational. Camp Friendship - Summer camps for kids who are being treated for cancer or who are in premission from cancer. Kids Can Cope, Too! Camp - A summer camp for children who have a family member with cancer. This camp helps children understand the illness and learn to cope with the changes that accompany the illness, all in a fun, camp setting. Look Good...Feel Better - Sessions to help women undergoing cancer treatment learn to cope with appearance-related side effects. The program is provided cooperatively with the National Cosmetology Association and the Cosmetic Toiletry and Fragrance Association. Reach To Recovery - Program that helps women with breast cancer cope with their diagnosis, treatment, and recovery through information and emotional support from trained peer counselors. Also provides information for women concerned about breast cancer. Man to Man - Prostate cancer support and information program for men, their families, and loved ones. I Can Cope - Series of educational classes that helps enable cancer patients and families to make informed decisions about their treatment. Scholarships to high school juniors and seniors who are fighting cancer Wigs to cancer patients Educational programs Nutritional programs The American Cancer Society is the largest non-government funder of cancer research in the country.
